This policy explains what personal information MikeFX34 (operated by Mike & Clodine) collects when you use
mikefx34.com, why we collect it, how we look after it, and the choices and rights you have.
We process personal information in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
1. Who we are
MikeFX34 provides web-based trading tools, indicators, Expert Advisors and educational material, and operates an
Introducing Broker relationship with XM. For the purposes of POPIA, MikeFX34 is the responsible party
for the information described in this policy. You can reach us using the contact details in section 10.
2. The information we collect
We only collect what we need to give you access to our tools, support you, and run the platform.
Information you give us
Registration details — your full name, a nickname (used on the leaderboard), email address, WhatsApp number, and your XM trading account number.
Payment proof — if you pay by manual EFT, the proof of payment you send to Clodine via WhatsApp.
Messages — anything you send us through WhatsApp or other support channels.
Information collected automatically
Usage & device data — via Google Analytics, once you have accepted cookies: pages viewed, links and downloads clicked, approximate location, device and browser type, and the source that referred you.
Demographic estimates — Google may provide aggregated, estimated age, gender and interest categories. These are statistical estimates about visitors as a group, not confirmed facts about you, and we only ever see them in aggregate.
We do not collect any analytics or set any analytics cookies until you click Accept on the cookie banner.
If you decline, none of the automatic tracking above takes place.
Trading Journal service (optional)
Trading & account data — if you install and run the optional MikeFX Journal service in MetaTrader 5, it reads your closed-trade history and your account balance and equity, calculates discipline and performance statistics, and sends those figures to us over a secure connection, linked to your XM trading account number.
Numbers only — the service posts only the calculated statistics, not your raw trade-by-trade data. It cannot place or change trades, and you can stop it, and reset or clear your journal, at any time.
Running the Journal service is entirely optional. If you never install it, none of the trading or balance data above is collected.
3. Why we use your information

Trading journal & account statistics (only if you run the Journal service)
To show you your own discipline journal and statistics, and to understand account activity so we can manage, support and improve our tools. We do not sell this data or share it with third parties for their own marketing.
We rely on your consent (for cookies and analytics) and on the performance of our agreement with you / our legitimate interest in running the platform (for account and access data).

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We keep them to a minimum, and analytics cookies only load after you accept them.

5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where needed to run the service:
Google (Analytics) — processes usage and demographic data on our behalf, only after you consent.
WhatsApp / Meta — when you contact us or send payment proof via WhatsApp, that message is handled through their platform.
XM — we verify your trading account number against XM's systems to confirm your affiliation under our partner code.
Where required by law — if we are legally obliged to disclose information to a regulator or authority.
Some of these providers operate outside South Africa, which may involve transferring your information across borders. We only use providers that offer an adequate level of protection.
6. Your choices & how to withdraw consent
You can withdraw your consent to analytics at any time. To do so, either:
clear the mfx_consent cookie (and Google cookies) in your browser — the banner will reappear and you can decline; or
message us on WhatsApp and ask us to stop, and to delete data we hold about you.
Declining or withdrawing consent will not affect your access to the tools you're entitled to.
7. Your rights under POPIA
Subject to the law, you have the right to:
ask what personal information we hold about you and request a copy;
ask us to correct or update information that is wrong or out of date;
ask us to delete your information where we no longer need it;
object to certain processing, and withdraw consent you've given;
lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) — their contact details are on their official website, inforegulator.org.za.

8. How long we keep it & how we protect it
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards, or as long as
the law requires. We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information against loss, misuse and
unauthorised access. No system can be guaranteed 100% secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
9. Children
MikeFX34 is intended for adults. Trading is high-risk and our tools and accounts are not for anyone under 18.
We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
